International Day for Human Rights of Females
International day against female genital mutilationFemale genital mutilation (FGM) is the removal, in whole or in part, of external female genitalia for non-medical purposes. An estimated 100-140 million girls and women have been subjected to FGM, about 3 million girls annually.
Since 2010 in the villages of Senegal, a documentary film called “Futa, It is Time to Talk” has been distributed to provide villagers with information about the health risks associated with FGM and encourages communities to abandon the practice.

Woman Entrepreneur Nomination Surprise
I’m not sure who did it but I’m glad they did. Thank you to my anonymous supporter who nominated me for Woman Entrepreneur of the Year. I am both flattered and honoured. It has been a learning experience starting this company and challenging every step of the way. I intend to continue to enjoy this journey and appreciate the continued support and encouragement. I hope you will reveal yourself to me so that I may thank you in person.
The Women Business Owners Association began the awards in 1992.
